Your driver will pick you up from your Fes accommodation in the morning for a comfortable drive to Meknes. Known as the "Versailles of Morocco," Meknes was the capital under Sultan Moulay Ismail. You'll admire the monumental Bab Mansour gate, explore the vast Heri es-Souani granaries, and see the Mausoleum of Moulay Ismail. After exploring Meknes, we drive to the nearby holy town of Moulay Idriss Zerhoun, a place of pilgrimage for Moroccans. A short drive then takes us to Volubilis, the best-preserved Roman city in Morocco. Wander among the ancient columns, see the stunning mosaics still in situ, and imagine life in this outpost of the Roman Empire. After a full day of exploration, we will drive back to Fes and drop you off at your hotel in the evening.
