Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival in Tangier & Transfer to Chefchaouen
Welcome to Morocco! Upon arrival at Tangier's port or airport, your driver will greet you. We'll take a short tour of Tangier's highlights, then drive south through the scenic Rif Mountains to the famous "Blue City" of Chefchaouen, where you'll check into your riad.
Day 2: Chefchaouen Exploration
Enjoy a full day exploring the enchanting blue-washed town of Chefchaouen. Wander at your own pace through its narrow, colorful streets, shop for unique local handicrafts, and relax in the main square, Plaza Uta el-Hammam.
Day 3: Chefchaouen β Volubilis β Meknes β Fes
We depart for Fes, stopping at the ancient Roman ruins of Volubilis and the imperial city of Meknes to admire the grand Bab Mansour gate. We'll arrive in Fes in the evening.
Day 4: Fes Guided Tour
Today is dedicated to exploring Fes, the spiritual heart of Morocco. With a local guide, you will dive into the labyrinthine Fes el-Bali medina, visiting the famous tanneries, madrasas, and Al-Qarawiyyin University.
Day 5: Fes β Ifrane β Merzouga Desert
We leave Fes for the Sahara, passing through the Middle Atlas mountains, stopping at Ifrane and the cedar forests of Azrou. We continue through the Ziz Valley, arriving in Merzouga for your camel trek into the Erg Chebbi dunes to your desert camp.
Day 6: Merzouga Desert Exploration
Spend a full day exploring the Sahara. You can take an optional 4x4 tour to visit nomadic families, listen to Gnawa music in Khamlia village, and discover the unique desert landscapes. Enjoy another night in the desert, soaking in the profound peace.
Day 7: Merzouga β Todra Gorges β Dades Valley
After a desert sunrise, we journey along the "Road of a Thousand Kasbahs." We visit the towering Todra Gorges for a walk, then continue to the Dades Valley for our overnight stay.
Day 8: Dades Valley β Ouarzazate
After breakfast, we travel to Ouarzazate, the "Hollywood of Africa." En route, we'll pass through the Valley of Roses and the Skoura Oasis. You will have the afternoon to explore Ouarzazate, perhaps visiting the Taourirt Kasbah or a film studio.
Day 9: Ouarzazate β AΓ―t Benhaddou β Taroudant
Today we visit the legendary AΓ―t Benhaddou kasbah, a UNESCO World Heritage site. We then drive south past the saffron fields of Taliouine to Taroudant, often called "Little Marrakech."
Day 10: Taroudant β Essaouira
We travel from Taroudant towards the Atlantic coast, arriving in the charming and artistic city of Essaouira. Enjoy the fresh sea breeze, explore the historic medina, and see the iconic blue fishing boats.
Day 11: Free Day in Essaouira
Enjoy a day at leisure in Essaouira. Relax on the beach, take a surfing lesson, browse the art galleries, or simply enjoy the laid-back atmosphere of this coastal gem.
Day 12: Essaouira β Marrakech
After a leisurely morning in Essaouira, we drive to Marrakech. You'll have the evening free to get your first taste of the vibrant Djemaa el-Fna square.
Day 13: Marrakech Guided Tour
A full day to discover Marrakech with a local guide. You'll visit the Bahia Palace, the Saadian Tombs, the Koutoubia Mosque, and the bustling souks, culminating in the famous Djemaa el-Fna square.
Day 14: Free Day in Marrakech
Enjoy a final full day in Morocco at your leisure. Revisit the souks, relax with a traditional hammam, visit the Jardin Majorelle, or take an optional day trip to the Atlas Mountains.
Day 15: Departure from Marrakech
Depending on your flight schedule, your driver will transfer you to Marrakech-Menara Airport (RAK) for your departure.
